Red rocks, pink stones, golden sands. The desert glows in ways I didn’t expect.
From large to fragments, each stone carries memory and stories. I traced their colours and shapes through my lens, just as I traced the memory they hold. I gathered these stories from what I heard and read along the way.
This was my first time in the U.S., near the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation in Fountain Hills, Arizona. I’m grateful for the chance to learn about the histories and people connected to this land.
