Vanishing is a series of images and artists’ books that explore the idea of “Burn After Reading.” The works extend the notion of consumption beyond the moment of destruction—when something has been “burned.” This brief yet transformative act of erasure continues through pages, frames, and books. In this way, the book’s structure itself becomes a device for marking time, functioning like an infinite loop or a single large sheet of paper divided into pages and then folded into a book.
